Denai started out in the industry as a performer and producer, and is now transitioning her love of storytelling into writing and directing roles. Denai has worked on dozens of high profile television commercials, short films, series, web series and features. Writing ignited Denai's directorial passion, penning the London storyline for her first feature, Forbidden Ground.  Forbidden Ground (aka Battle Ground) sold to Lionsgate (USA) eOne (UK) and Pinnacle (AUS) among other reputable distributors worldwide.

Her long and short form production credits include Infini, Gabriel, Singapore TV Series Shero, and 2022 AACTA nominated Best Film, Sissy. Denai also wrote and directed The Staircase, an episode of the horror thriller anthology Deadhouse Dark which made official selection at Canneseries 2020, and released globally as a Shudder Original Series in 2021.

 

Dystopic sci fi short Shift which Denai produced, finished its festival run on a high, named one of the top shorts at the Toronto After Dark Festival in 2018 and is currently being adapted into a feature. Denai directed episode titled She in award winning web series Fragments, as well as the episode titled Tuesday in Gold Coast Film Festival nominated Best Web Series, At The Phoenix.  Most recently, Denai worked on proof of concept short film EXO226 which she directed, wrote and produced and has already made official selection in two international festivals.
