Denai is a Director, Producer, Writer. Her long and short form production credits span high profile commercials, features, online series and shorts.  Notable recent credits include features Break A Leg and It Will Find You both making official selection at SXSW Sydney 2025, Snatchers which had its world premiere at Raindance Film Festival 2025, as well as Singapore TV Series Shero, and 2022 AACTA nominated Best Film, Sissy.  She also wrote and directed The Staircase, an episode of the horror thriller anthology Deadhouse Dark which made official selection at Canneseries 2020, and released globally as a Shudder Original Series in 2021.

 

Denai’s producing career kicked off with dystopic sci-fi short Shift which finished its festival run on a high, named one of the top shorts at the Toronto After Dark Festival in 2018.  Her first feature, Forbidden Ground (aka Battle Ground) sold to Lionsgate.  Denai went on to produce multi-award winning short film Straight on Til Mourning which won best mid-sized film at the Sydney Women’s International Film Festival, was a top five finalist in Sony Catchlight’s Film Awards night 2024. She then directed, wrote and produced short film EXO226 which is now being adapted into a feature. It had its world premiere at 2023 Sydney Sci Fi Film Festival, was nominated for Best Film and Best Director, won Best Production Design at CSFF where Denai was named the recipient of the CSFF 2023 Emerging Talent award.
